About OurVoice

OurVoice is a social enterprise that invites the community to provide feedback to the elected government about the way they want to be represented.

Whether this is about indicating the direction they want leaders to take the nation, point out the issues they want resolved most earnestly, or help contribute knowledge, ideas and expertise to solutions, OurVoice is the mechanism by which the community can have a say in a way that counts.

We don’t believe in right-wing, left-wing, or any type of wings, factions or political groupings.

We believe in the simple and honest truth of democracy and of empowering all people to have a say in the decisions that affect their lives.

OurVoice does not represent any political party, MP or government, but we are committed to supporting all elected officials to better understand their communities and encourage them to engage their communities and work with them to help solve the challenges we all face.

Citizen participation is key to addressing the broken trust that currently exists between people and politicians. This has also been recommended by the OECD. Citizen participation in all aspects of policy has also been proven to create superior policies than through a centralised approach, as evidenced by Taiwan’s policies in response to Covid, which were co-created with the community.
